Bottleshare at Matteo’s. Thanks to Matteo for the can. Almost clear pale peach colour beer, small peach colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry, decent carbonation. Yogurty fruits and light generic berries. Light dry finish. Yogurty nonsense.

Can at home in London - sourced from Offie & Toffee. Pours mostly clear gold/grapefruit pink with a creamy, receding white head. Pleasant aroma, with nips of lemon, berries, tangerine. Light sweet flavour with balanced but assertive acidity, juicy passionfruit, moderate salty bite, more lemony notes. Light bodied with average, spritzy carbonation. Cleansing and quenching on the finish, with further lemony acidity, moderate acetic burn, more passionfruit, berries, hibiscus, tangerine, nips of white grape. There is charming jammy undertone, but it is quite subtle and the acidity slices it off before it catches. Overall, this is a great ’sour beer’, and massively refreshing.

Taste comprises tarte red berry, straw, light balsa wood, passionfruit, pissoi, grass, hibiscus tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light puckering. Decent easy drinking sour ... hote canes in Chelmsford ?

Keg @ Tilt, Birmingham. Pours clear amber with large off-white head. Sweaty gym socks, mouldy cheese, herbal aroma. Taste is lightly sticky, moderately sour with very light passionfruit, bristly herbs and hibiscus. Bit of a mixed bag of flavours, lacking focus.

Keg at Crate. It pours hazy deep red with a small white head. The nose is tart, floral, lactic, raspberry cheesecake, earth and some tropical fruits. The taste is crisp, tart, hibiscus, light lactic vibe, raspberry cheesecake, mild acidity, spice, raspberry pip, sour passion fruit, green apple skin and minerals, with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Not bad. I’m not a huge fan of the cheesecake vibe though. Still alright.
