Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol October 2016. Amber in colour with a moderately sized, off-white, head. Aroma of red fruits and leafy hops. Flavour was sweetish with more berry fruit, slightly toasty malts and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

On cask at the Standing Order. Appearance - deep amber to brown with a lovely fawn head. Nose - elusive citrus but mainly toffee and biscuits. Taste - toffee , biscuits and there’s a citrus tang. Not sure it works in the same drink though. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a long dry crunchy finish. Perhaps a touch astringent. Overall - a bit disjointed.

Playhouse Spoons. Cask. Clear amber beer, patchy pale tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has a good fine crispness. Nice condition. Light malts, some toffee - caramel. Tangy fruits, whisper of red berry fruits. Mild floral bitterness. Light fruity finish. Comes together well. Tasty if a little dry.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW - London. Pours clear orange-amber with a frothy topping. Kind of an odd aroma, perhaps some farty English yeast, toasted grains. Light sweet flavour with notes of toasted sugars, grass, caramel, earth and leaves. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Bitter finish, with more leafy hops, toasted grains, caramel, some carpet, old grass, brown bread. Disjointed. So so.

A clear coppery amber colour with a small thin off white head. A malty biscuit, toffee and musty barn like aroma. Flavour is a peppery herby bitterness (rocket), combined with sweet malt taste and a woody hop bitter finish.
