Made with hefeweizen yeast and Mast Brothers cacao husks - the slight bitterness of the cacao slices through the sweet banana.

London tasting, October 2016. Maybe the worst beer in an evening of mostly great beer. Odd aroma of chocolate. Dry, some wheat, an odd sour bite. It seems something went wrong, the batch probably should have been dumped.

Craft Islington Gathering. Thanks to Matteo. Cloudy amber beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and has decent fine carbonation. Thin malts. Plenty of skewed banana but even more tangy orange, both flavours feel awkward in their own right and worse together. Touches of spice and soap on the finish. It doesn’t hang together at all and is bordering on quite unpleasant.

7-fiddy bottle at the JK Ldn tasting, care of Matteo. It pours cloudy burnt orange with a small white head. The aroma is very sulphurous, earthy, musty, dirty, sweet sugary banana, sweat and rotten veg. The taste is sweet and sour, tangy, earthy, musty, sherbet, sugary chocolate, sort of chalky and green banana through the finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Tastes pretty damn infected. A bit of a car crash really.

Bottle split at the JK tasting, thanks to Matteo, rating #17,000. Murky golden orange with a decent enough beige cap. Nose is dirty arse, farts, sulphur, rotten fruit. Taste comprises green and bitter fruit esters, rotten pear, spice, stale bread. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close with an unpleasant astringent bitterness. Infected garbage.

Bottle shared at the CBC Islington for the jk tasting. .Many thanks to Matteo for this one. A super murky dark orange amber coloured pour with no head. Aroma is sour fruit, veg, spicy hot alcohol, bruised banana. Flavour is composed of spicy lemon, hint of sour, soft banana, choc. Palate is semi sweet, frothy, highish carbonation. Pretty shitty. Not a fan.

Bottle shared at the JK Tasting - Craft Beer Co., Islington. Many thanks to Matteo for taking this one for the team. Pours murky gold with a fine, white foam head. The nose holds light citric tang, faint funk, leaves. Lightly sweet, with touches of wood, more citrusy tang. Light to medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Subtly acetic in the finish, with more wood and citrus. Well, this can’t possibly be as intended. While it is somewhat drinkable, especially for such a strong beer (if the ABV is accurate), it just really doesn’t deliver overall and smacks of infection.
