Cask @ Cuthbert Brodrick, Leeds. Copper-amber with a creamy head. Its strength is somewhat hidden by an understated fruitiness and a sugary berry-sweet nose.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol October 2016. Deep gold in colour with a moderately sized, off-white, head. Aroma of dried fruits and leafy hops. Flavour was sweetish with caramel, more fruit, biscuity malts and a gently bitter finish with some warming booze. Fine.

On cask at the Standing Order. Appearance - deep amber with a nice lacy head. Nose - toffee, vanilla and honey. Taste - toffee, honeycomb and a hint of biscuit. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dryish finish. Overall - good. Nearly very good indeed, if it could be been balanced with a bit more hop zip.

Cask at Canary Wharf Spoons. It pours clear brown with a quickly dissipating off-white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, cake, caramel, fruit bun, brown bread and wood. The taste is bitter - sweet, toffee, toasted brown sugar, wood, leather, dried berry, fruit loaf and a lick of alcohol with a dry, woody finish. Medium + body and lowish carbonation. A bit dry and woody after a while. Not bad, but its not overly drinkable.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW - London. Pours clear copper with a thin, foamy head. Lightly toasted grains in the nose, some ripening berries. Medium sweet flavour with bready malts, very faint caramel, toast, berries, minimal bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes fairly sweet, with further toasty malts, ripening berries, a little gooey brown sugar. Not bad.

Cask at the Queen Hotel (JDW), Aldershot. A bright golden amber pour with a thin translucent head; fruity aroma, like a sweet sherry; dry in the mouth with some berry fruit; then a dry biscuity finish. Unexpectedly good, hiding the strength well.
