Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol October 2016. Amber in colour with a moderately sized, off-white, head. Aroma of citrus fruits and leafy hops. Flavour was sweetish with caramel, more fruit, cereal malts and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask at the Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet. A golden amber pour with a ring of white head; sweet grainy aroma; zingy and fruity in the mouth with a biscuity malt body; then lightly bitter with some white pepper to finish. There’s something different here to the average premium bitter, but I’m not sure what. I’d certainly give it another go.

Cask at the Hamilton Hall, JDW - London. Pours clear honey gold with a lasting, creamy white crown. The aroma holds toasty pale grains, a little hay. Light sweet flavour with husky pale grains, more bitter hay, faint lemon peel, crackers. Light bodied with fine carbonation; fair condition. Finishes with further husky grains, pale bread, bitter hay, light melon. Simplistic but plenty drinkable.
