Another solid, if not overly banging pale ale from Hadnall. Pale gold with a frothy white head and a tropical and citrus fruit aroma. Light bodied, fruity with hop bitterness, soft underlying cereal malt and a dry softly bitter finish.

Cask at the Railway Tavern, Chelmsford. Pours pale gold with a small white head leaving good lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit, citrus, grapefruit, orange, hop and grass. Medium sweetness, moderate but developing bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Finishes with increasing bitterness. Very fruity. Increasingly enjoyable.

Cask. Kelham Island Tavern, Sheffield. Clear, straw colour. Suds of white head. Nose has fusty lemon. Sweet and creamy malts. Something akin to pineapple cubes sweets. Taste is fruity sweet and pithy, citrusy bitter. Plenty of body for the ABV. Long, oily, pithy bitter finish. Punchy stuff.

13 Nov 2012: hand-pulled pint in ’The station’ Oakengates. Light golden body with a healthy looking white crown on top. Hops all the way here, the malt content hardly gets a look in: the nose is a fruit basket of aromas, semi-citrus with hints of sweetness coming through as well. The taste is also hop fruitiness dominated with than citrusy feel to the smell coming stronger in the mouth as each sip finishes. Body depth was OK for 4%ABV and I’d have had another if I wasn’t on a reveiwing mission.

Cask, handpump at FFTMC, Oxford whilst stewarding for a Morris/Longsword rapper event 04.12.11 Pours golden with a filmy white head. Lvely tropical nose to this with some pineapple showing, this also came through rather well in the mouth. Nice bittersweetness, erring more towards the sweet but good for it, tasty decent beer.
