Craft Islington bottle share. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft dark malts, smooth and with good dark chocolate. Vanilla. Wood and light spicy bourbon and whiskey. The rum barrel tastes more like light Tequila to me! Touch of red berries. Light finish leaves a mild bitter linger. Nice.

Bottle at Craft Islington share, thanks to Kenny. It pours jet black with a thick tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet, juicy, jammy, tangy, figgy pudding, vanilla, toasted marshmallow and cocoa. The taste is slick, toasty, roasted malt, jammy, plum, treacle, charred wood, booze, spice, ash and cocoa with a drying, bitter-sweet finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. A bit chewy and woody perhaps, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Kenneth. Pours oily black-brown with a frothy tan head. Well toasted brown bread in the nose, burnt honey, moderate roast, cocoa. Medium sweet flavour with nicely rounded, dry cocoa character, a bit of alcohol boost, some dried berries, raisins, mellow bitterness. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, a little sticky, with some further berries, rich cocoa. Nice one.
