Craft Islington. Keg. Light haze on this gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Light malts bring a dry sweetness. Quite herby and Gruity! Lots of floral and herb things going on. Mild spice. Very light orangey hop. Light dry finish. Interesting and tasty but I could not imagine drinking a pint of this, so downgrading on drinkability.

Keg at Craft Islington. It pours lightly hazy golden - yellow with a small white head. The aroma is quite rich, fragrant, herbal, grassy, straw, sweet citrus, touch of sherbet and solvent. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter - sweet, bready malts, herbal, grass, spice, straw and citrus peel with a dry, herbal finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A bit of an odd one. Can’t say I am a huge fan of herbal beers.

Keg at CBC Islington, 26/04/17. Lightly hazed golden blonde with a decent off white head. Nose is zingy citric rinds, lemon zest, straw, grains, light white peppery spice, herbal notes. Taste comprises lemon rind, faint yeast scrapings, toasted bread, floral nip, herbal bite, citric peel, grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Ok saison if a touch herbal for it to be a regular for me.

Keg at CBC Islington - London. Pours clear yellow with a creamy, white head. The nose has strong green herbs, lemon zest. Light-medium sweet flavour with moderate grassy bitterness, more herbs, citrus rind. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more herbs and grassy bitterness, rinds, hay, pale grains. Not bad.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Opens with big hiss. Mostly clear gold. Very lively effervescence. Big, frothy, noisy, lasting, bright white head. Nose has bread and butter malts. Cracked pepper. Bay leaf. Lemon rind. Green, oily herb. Taste has buttery sweetness, with some peppery spice. Turns slightly dry, and slightly tangy. Light to medium body. Lots of prickly carbonation. Acting gets sweeter as it goes, with a good balance of dry spice. Nice one.
