Cask @ White Hart, Todmorden. Golden-brown with a glow. It's a fuller-bodied mild with a mild sweetness.

Handpull cask at the Lord Burton (JDW), Burton-upon-Trent. Russet brown, very translucent. Lots of chocolate malt on the nose, some coffe, some smoke. Malt-led, sweet taste with just a suggestion of earthy hoppy balance in the finish. A reasonably good but not outstanding mild.

Cask at the Hamilton Hall, JDW - London. Pours clear golden brown with a thick, creamy off-white head. The aroma holds earthy hops, toasted grains, brown bread, dried berries. Light-medium sweet flavour with further moderate earthy bitterness, some old leather, well toasted brown bread. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more toasty brown bread, dried, aged berries, earth, very slight cocoa. Not a bad mild overall.

3rd June 2017: cask pint in my local Wetherspoon pub. Ruby hue to the brown body, on top a smooth biege blanket of foam. Fruity and nutty nose, taste more malty than the aroma intimated, again some berry action with a nut like twist. Decent, with enough flavour to keep me interested throughout the pint.

Cask, half-pint, shared with Finn at The Gatekeeper (JDW). Filmy, tan-coloured head, spotty lacing, deep rosewood coloured body. Rather rich aromas of earthy, dark malts, hints of nuts, slightly roasted. Dark caramel flavours together with chocolate, earth and moments of dark fruits. Lightly roasted ending. Clean. Well made mild. (Cardiff 02.05.2017).
