A true hop lovers beer. A classic NorthWest American IPA, this big boy packs a punch. The 55 IBU’s are kept in check with Munich and Caramel malt character and the blend of Cascade and Simcoe hops deliver a combination of grapefruit, citrus, pine and passionfruit to rock the taste buds. Dry Hopping with even more Simcoe really drives the aroma home for this IPA. Malts: Pale, Crystal. Hops: Columbus, Simcoe, Cascade.

Bottle at home, köszi Petra! Pours deep, cleargolden with white head. Nose is bitter hoppy, grass, herbalsa touch of honey. Taste is bitter hops again, and there’s grass and herbs too with a super faint boozy touch. Closes with long, vivid bitter finish, has light body and average carbo. Pleasant, if a bit one dimensional.

500ml bottle: BB 27th Jun 2020. Poured into a UK pint sleeve glass at home on 3rd Oct 2019. I allowed the sediment to leave the bottle, so my copper bodied beer had a hazy glow to it, the head a smooth white blanket of foam. Hops rule the nose and taste with both a piney and citrusy aromas and flavours. Light caramel like balance, but the finish is bitter and fairly dry in nature. Nice!

From bottle to glass at the Saddle Room in Dublin. Garnet and clear with moderate off-white head. Lots of crystal malt with the hops not showing. Maybe the bottle was old, but just not that great.

Farewell Bespin Bottleshare. Thanks to Leighton. Light haze on this gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and dry with decent fine carbonation. Light dry malts, mildly sweet. Tangy floralness. Light tangy citrus. Orange peel. Hop spice and mild pine. Dry bitterish finish. Not too bad.

Bottle shared in London - cheers! Pours clear gold with a creamy white head. The nose holds rindy citrus, dry pale bread, melon. Light sweet flavour with sugary pale bread, tangerine, meringue, low bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly bitter to finish, simple pale malts, white bread, lemon rind. Uninspiring but OK.

Bottle shared at Leightons place, 19/01/2017. Many thanks to Wingman Dave for this one. A light hazed golden orange coloured pour with a sticky white head. Aroma is wheat, lemon, rind, little pineapple. Flavour is airy, light grains, straw, spicy citrus, grainy. Palate is frothy, grainy, moderate carbonation. Grassy dirty hop.

Bottle from Supervalu, Longford [220315]
Dark amber, slight haze, thin frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma of sweet malts, resinous hops, touch of fruit, getting a bit a caramelised orange, dab of butterscotch malt
Taste of sweet caramel malts, lots of bitter hops, some bitter zest, mainly just bitterness rather than fruity bitter zest, dab of butterscotch malt again (not sure about the malts), quite coarse flavour and rough hewn
Palate - Soft carb, medium to full body - rather claggy viscous mouthfeel, sweet gloopy malts, bitter hops. Finish quite dry, long bit spicy astringent bitter linger, gooey malt residue
Overall - Heavy malts and lots of bittering hops, rather thick mouthfeel that’s maybe better broken up on carbonated keg. Plenty of flavour and bitterness here, but needs more refinement

500mL bottle from Molloy’s. Pours an amber gold colour, rocky white head that dissipates quickly, nice lacing on the glass. Surprising grapefruit and citrus hop aroma with what seems like a solid malt backbone. Flavour is grapefruit, tropical fruit, some citrus hops with caramel malts. Oily mouthfeel, finish is bitter and moreish quality that asks for another sip, but towards the end becomes a bit cloying.
