Wethersoon Autumn Beer Festival 2017. Cask @ Turl’s Green, Bradford. Mildly hazed blonde with a small creamy head. It's a smoothish hoppy ale with a sugary nose. Its fruit is subtle at best.

Pale gold with a thin white head and an aggressive fizz. Weird peardrop and marzipan taste up front. Growing spiciness with a little grapefruit and melon. Sweet, but then quite dry in the finish. An odd one, not convinced the brewer intended it to taste like this. Got better as I drank more, but still got that strange upfront taste with each sip. Different, at least!

Handpull cask at the Railway Inn (JDW), Rushden. Light yellow bordering on straw, with a tiny film of head and a lot of lacing. Pleasant floral smell with sharp grapefruit notes and a touch of pine resin. The taste is a letdown: gluey and grainy with a bitter/sour note. Hop bitterness in the aftertaste. It's not great unfortunately, but it's drinkable.
