Bottle at the Royal Standard, Cambridge. Golden and clear with a small white head. Apple, sandalwood, nutmeg in the singular aroma... sure doesn’t smell like a Tripel. Tastes like a Tripel though. Sweet, spicy and yeasty with a lightness that belies the ABV. Not the best of the range but worth drinking. A fitting end to the evening.

Pours hazy orange with a big, lasting white head. The aroma contains malts, hops, yeast, caramel, spices, citrus and orange. It tastes medium bitter and sweet, with a long spicy and alcoholic finish. Oily texture, soft carbonation. Nice, though I prefer the Quadrupel.
