Can from Ales By Mail, shared at home with the Mrs - pours dark orange to amber with a puffy white head. Sweet malty with prominent caramel malts, some toffee, some citrus fruity notes with some grapefruit, citrus peel, medium body, slight boozy warming edge, resinous bitter hoppy into the finish. Decent. --- Beer merged from original tick of DAPA on 26 Mar 2025 at 07:32 - Score: 7

Piney and citrusy, slightly earthy-grassy, hoppy aroma, caramel malty background with a bready and husky touch, hints of orange and lemon, some weed. Taste is sweet-ish caramel malty, minimally strawy, slightly citrusy hoppy, hints of orange and lemon, a grassy, earthy hoppy interference with a touch of weed; minimally watery.

Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Fergus for the can. Palate is smooth and mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Soft and sweetish malts, thin cream. Hops bring light pine and light spice. Mild fresh orange and a little orange peel. Smooth semi dry finish. Not the most complex or DIPAs but goes down fine.

Can split at L42, thanks to "xxxxx name witheld", 19/10/17. Hazed golden with a resectable off white cap. Nose is pine needle, melon, citric tinged straw, orange peel. Taste comprises grapefruit, orange pith, light pine, toasted malts, hint of caramel, straw, tangerine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced hop bittering at the curtain call. Sippable but middle 'o' the road for style.

Keg at the Bussey Beer Garden - Peckham. Pours deep orange-gold with a foamy, white head. Hearty, ripening citrus fruits in the snout, some mild dank notes, bread. Medium sweet flavour with low bitterness, rich bread, a little oily pine. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with light resin, more bread and pine, orange, bitter rind. Pretty good DIPA overall.

Keg at Peckham Beer Fest. It pours hazy orange with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, juicy, orange peel, tangerine, over ripe stone fruits, bread and a touch of candy. The taste is soft, sweetish, restrained bitterness, bready malt base straw, hay, candied orange, tangerine, marmalade and straw with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Soft marmalade vibe throughout. Lacks a bit of coheasion for me. Not bad.
