A series of dual hopped West Coast India Pale Ales. No.4 combines tropical Ekuanot with the piney, mango rich Simcoe. Easy on the malt and with a balanced juicy finish the hops are very much the star of the show. We've upped the ante with increased dry hopping levels for this version. The result is a blockbuster, hop forward IPA in the finest traditions of the West Coast.

Floor 42, share a bottle or two! Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Sweetish airy malts, a trace of cream. Light piney hop, very light hop spice. Piney citrus, orange and tangerine. Trace of mango. Airy finish brings a little peach. Fluffy but flavoursome.

500ml bottle from Beergonzo. BBE 16.09.17. Pours orange with a foamy white head. Aroma of caramely malts, stingy fruits, hints of tropical notes and grapefruit. Taste is crisp, carbonated and slightly gluey with hints of grapefruit, caramely malts and sweet tropical fruits. Finish is sweet and stuffy with some hints of glue, grapefruit, ripe tropical fruits and caramel. A bit unbalanced.

Bottle at home. Pours hazy yellow orange, nose is grapefruit, lemon, taste is floral, toffee, vanilla, citrus.

500ml bottle. Fairly clear golden colour with a dense off-white head, long lasting with good lacing. Aroma: tropical fruits, mango, pine, earthy. Taste: tropical and mango, pine, pithy, quite earthy while it was cold but this faded as it warmed, pleasant bitter finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Quite good.

Bottle shared on Level 42 19/07/2017. Many thanks to Ken for this one. A hazed golden orange coloured pour with a loose off white head. Aroma is big diesel, dank hop, plastic, onion green hop. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, smooth raw grains, plastic, phenols, onion. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, moderate carbonation. Grassy hop. Dank. But weird.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Mitchy. Pours hazy orange-gold with a creamy, pure white head. The aroma holds some cat pee, lemon peel, melon. Light-medium sweet flavour with some citrus rind, pale bread, some further pissy hops, mild grassy and rindy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with nice melon, ripening lemon, a little bitter hay, mango. Good one.

Bottle at L42. It pours hazy yellow - gold with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, juicy, very ripe, nectarine, peach, guanabana, banana, pineapple, piña colada, straw and grassy. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, straw, grassy, green, green banana, pineapple, stone fruits and tannin with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Aroma is better than taste. Not bad.

Bottle split at L42, thanks to Kenny, 19/07/17. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is pine needle, tangerine, ripe citric flesh, melon. Taste comprises orange pith, light pine, melon, grapefruit zest, soft breads. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi dyring close peppered with juicy hop bitterness.
