Bottle. Little Leeds Beer House. V1? V2? No idea. Bullshit, probably. Anyway. Hazy gold. Thin and super sticky, white head. Nose has spelt and rye. Some old lemon. A little woody. Some vanilla. Taste is dry, and a tad bitter. Foamy on the palate. A little thin. Dry and slightly fusty bitter finish. Ok. Well below this brewer’s usual standard, though.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Beer Merchants Tap. Pours lightly hazy orange-gold with a fluffy, white head. Nice aroma, some dried straw, lemon peel, a hint of Belgiam yeast, wheat bread. Light sweet flavour with a bit more wheat bread, hay, biscuits, faint minerality, grass, more citrus peel, mellow yeast expression. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, perhaps a touch of melon, more lemon rind, grass, crispy hay, dried biscuits. Overall, highly drinkable. Well executed.

Bottle at home, 03/03/18. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is tangy peach, apricot, lemon rind, light herb, grains, hay bale. Taste comprises bitter citric peel, light white peppery spice, grains, yeast esters, light funk, grass, light mineral, straw, dried banana, stale bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent flavoursome Belgian number for the ABV.
