Bodney Towers bottle share. Thanks to Mr Tips. Very hazy gold beer, small cream colour head. Palate is soft and airy, decent fine carbonation. Soft mounts, light creamy sweetness. Light tangy fruits, orange and tangerine marmalade into ripe dessert wine fruits. A slightly bitter floralness. Smooth semi dry finish. Nice saison, well off the beaten path.

Bottle at LKS thanks to Mr Tips. It pours hazy golden with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, sweet, tangy, icing sugar, apple, pear and vinous character with sweet white grapes. The taste is crisp, dry, soft, apple, pear, white grape, gooseberry, vinous, wood and light spice with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Decent stuff.

Bottle shared in Hackney - cheers to Tips. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. Doughy wheat bread in the aroma, prominent yeast, some white grape. Medium sweet flavour with touches of strawberry, more wheat bread, yeast, white grape, minimal bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, but pretty well balanced, more wheat bread, hay, melon. Fun.

Gold with a large white head that fades to an inch and never disappears.. Aroma of crackery dough, coriander, white pepper, nectarines, oranges. Mildly funky with a background oak presence. Perhaps a little fruitier than the normal version. 7+ Pleasantly creamy but really quite sweet. Again, there's a suggestion of deeper fruit and more pronounced spices here but happily (for me) the barrel's profile doesn't stick out. 7+ Like normal Saison du Bateau I'd like a drier finish but this is another good one from Boatrocker.
