A hodgepodge of apples swapped for cider from orchards and gardens around the village. Picked and pressed with friends. We've no idea which varieties go in to this, yet every year OMFF echo's previous batches. Smooth, full flavoured with clean acid tones: our signature cider. Dedicated to our children; Oscar, Margot, Felix and Freddie.

330ml bottle from Pilango. Pours clear pale yellow. Aroma bears light funk. Taste is, as the label suggests, a hodgpodge of apples donated to them, with no idea whatsoever of what its made from. Can't help thinking its a bit careless to make a cider in this way, though at least the apples go to some use. Taste is fruity enough, with an emerging woody bitterness, a touch dry lacking a fleshy presence, though still quite sweet. Not too great overall.

330ml bottle from Pilango Cider Vault, London. Pale yellow gold colour, no head and aroma of mucky barnyard, mellow apple. Taste is tart, dry fruity, apple, acidic, some horseblanket funk and vinegary hint. Slick mouthfeel, light bodied, low carbonation, drying tart finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle shared in Hackney - thanks to Daniel. Pours clear, pale yellow. Nice aroma, some ripe and rotten apples, green apple skin. Light sweet flavour, more ripe and dank apples, some bitter peel. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Lightly warming finish, a little musty, more drying skin, dank old apples. Not bad.
