Black beer, thin head. light malty aroma. taste is rich malt, zesty hop, a bit of tangy fruit and a dash of caramel to smooth the edges. Finish is quite dry and grassy by comparison. Very nice.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 8 Dec 2017) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted, hoppy nose with notes of black rye bread, chocolate, coffee, mint and spruce needles. Malty, hoppy, slightly vinous taste with coffee, chocolate, blueberries, liquorice, pine needles, a touch of mint and a generous piney bitterness in the finish. Full body, with a touch of sweetness. Quite an impressive black IPA, with some imperial stout leanings. Hardly subtle, but quite a lovely beer.

330ml can. Pours almost black with a thin dissipating tan head. Aroma of roast malts, piney hops, resin, dark fruits, chocolate, alcohol. Taste of roast malts, dark fruits, chocolate, pine, resinous, a very warm boozy finish. Medium bodied, average carbonation. Definitely more imperial stout than IPA. Good but too boozy.

Can. Dark brown pour, still brown not black. Dusty boozy nose, some citrus and lots of nutty cocoa character, not that much caramel - bt has molasses and toffee. Nicely sweet but not cloying. Taste is pretty uch the same, hops coming through also, citrusy and hoppy at the same time. Good linger in the finish, very much enjoyable brew.
