Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is sweet rye malt, caramel toffee, sweet dried fruits, alcohol, raisins, yeast sugary notes, with only a slight hint of Bourbon barrel with some vanilla. Flavour is massively cloying sugary sweetness with booze. Body is medium to full. Hot and unbalanced, way too sweet, lacks complexity. Yikes, not for me at all.

Can sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks Max. Deep amber. Smoky, wood, malt, caramel, acetaldehyde, some whiskey, alcohol, sweet, boozy.

Op tap bij De Scrapyard. Amber kleur, geen kraag. Erg zoet, moutig, rozijntjes, koekjes, rook en bourbon komen beide eigenlijk niet door. Erg jammer. Dik mondgevoel.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Nov 19. Brought by me, bought at Bierhalle Deconinck. Pours black, off white head. Woody smoky rye nose. Smoky, woody, twiglets to taste with a light bourbon tickle, has real balance and finesse for such a whopping strength. Excellent.

25th Nov 2019; Monthly Beer Share at Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Last beer of the night, cheers Mat for this. 33cl bottle; BB 25th Dec 2065, really? Amber pour, off-white head. Not too sure about this, woody and smoky with a Rye undertone, didn't do it for me; the other four loved it though.

Bottle. Reddish amber color. Smoke, just a hint of rye and vanilla in the aroma. malty sweet, Hints of smoke and rye bread in the flavor. Hints of bourbon. Alcoholic. Needs more barrel time. Hint of smoke in the aftertaste. Surprisingly smooth, low on carbon.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark amber colour with small, creamy, fading, off-white head. Alcoholic, slightly fruity, minimally smoky, peaty aroma, hints of dried fruit, a touch of raisin, dried apricot, muesli. Taste is heavily alcoholic, minimally sweet, malty, fruity, grainy, a touch of muesli, raisin, dried apricot, very cautious hints of BA, Bourbon, vanilla and oak. Slightly sticky palate, surprisingly watery texture. Absurdely strong for a monotonous, simple, rather flavourless and diluted Triple-like beer.

Bottled 330ml (Beergium, BB 09/2021) Ruby colour, small off-white head. Smoked, caramel, berries, bourbon in the nose. Medium-bodied. Sweet, a bit berryish flavour, some caramel and alcohol. Also some hoppy bitterness. All these hide smokeyness in the flavour more or less. Aging has mellowed this. Somewhat simple but drinkable/sippable.

Bottle (thanks Sten). Pours murky amber. Aroma is sweet, booze, fruits, malt, caramel. Flavor follows the nose. Covers alcohol decently considering the ABV. Overall: okish.
