Gushing (-1 pt), resulting in a medium to good off-white head over foxy amberish tinted golden beer; some lace. Bit metallic tainted malty beer; faintly coloured malts, dusty hops, oxidated honey. Sweet and a hint at acidity, reverting to honey-ish sweetness. Bit floral. Finish however sports an unpleasant bitterness, metallic/indifferent. Bit stickyMF, oily and obviously good carbonation. Sticky, sweet, unsatisfying. Thx to Stef!

Pours unclear blonde, no real head. Smell is bit funky, some straw like aroma. Taste is medium sweet, estery, mild bitterness; Grainy. OK.

@ BXL Beer Fest. Hazy amber colour, white foam. Sweet malts, some honey, light herbal, fruity. Easy drinkable and well balanced.

Another saison of this new Nectar Bohème microbrewery in the province of Hainaut, tasted as an accompaniment to the 'vol au vent' (chicken ragout) I enjoyed at Nuëtnigenough, shared with Goedele, Steve, Jan, Tessa and Johan. Mousy, regularly shaped, snow white, medium thick but quickly thinning and opening head, lacing in disparate dots over a misty golden blonde beer with warmer, apricot-rosy hue. Aroma of ripe melon, banana, peach, camomile, bizarre touch of incense, rosehip tea, jasmin blossom, sweetbread, clove, honeyish 'sweetish' oxidation setting in, sugared tea, basil. Fruity onset, peachy with light banana, ripe pear and pineapple impressions, sharp and fizzy carbonation (bit numbing at first even), rounded cereally malt body, sweet with minerally effects from the carbonation at its sides. Herbal, tea-ish and sweet-blossomy spiciness and hoppiness in the end, touch of onsetting oxidation returning, some wry phenolic effects (cloves) with a weird jasmin blossom-like aromatic quality I cannot quite put my finger on; hop bitterness as such remains faint, too faint in fact, forgetting to add body to the finishing stage which as a result remains a bit thinnish and watery. Rather weird and clearly spiced with something which bothers me more than that it attracts me, lacking structure and hoppiness too in order to be very enjoyable - probably the least of the different beers we had at Nuëtnigenough - or at the whole of Brussels that weekend, for that matter.

23 February 2019. (Tasting formerly known as) RBBWG. Cheers to all, thanks Kraddel for the hospitality! My random Belgian tick for the tasting. Hazy yellow with a lasting, thin, frothy, white head. Aroma of yeast, apple peel, honey, kitchen herbs, unripe banana & peach, spring onion, white bread. Taste is medium fruity sweet, notes of green banana & yellow apple, not too thick on the esters, leading to a medium spicy bitter middle with grass, yeast & bread, touch of sourish wheat, rendering it slightly soapy too. Dryish, grassy hoppy finish, yeasty, more banana & bread. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. 'Correct' little brew, nothing wrong, just underwhelming.

Pretty cloudy blond to peach beige coloured beer, small creamy irregular off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: yeast, pears, malty, grains, hay. MF: lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: barnyard, very rural (paysanne) indeed, bit malty, grains, some vanilla. Aftertaste: sweet, bit sugary, lots of yeast, floral, honey, little oxidized.
