750ml bottle pours out black topped with a small tan head. Nose is nice rich malts chocolate coffee roast coconut. Taste is more of the nice rich malts chocolate roast coffee coconut bourbon barrel vanilla.

2015 version. Pours black, no head. Smell is full, roasty, sweet, coconut. Taste is full, rather sharp (booze) , strong backbone of roasty chocolate. Milder coconut, sweet, but still has some bitterness.

75cl bottle via trade, thanks Arturo, vintage 2015.
Brune foncée voire noire, col fin blanc-cassé, le tout laissant un fin filament huileux au verre.
Arôme au nez malté, finement caramélisé, bready, Bourbon avec un complément sublime de noix de coco.
Palais est épais, le tout indique bien ses 13%, retrouve des malts variés sur le cacao, chocolat, biscuité, effet sucre crystal, généreux en barrique sans être surfait, noix de coco en retrait qui accompagne la barrique.

Clear dark brown to black beer, no head. Aroma: oxidized, nice roast, alcohol, bit sugary, coconuts. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of roasted malts, some coconut, some alcohol, malty, grains. Aftertaste: lots and lots of chocolate, bit malty, nice roast, coconut stuff, decent.

Bottle @ Ulfborg Gueuze Tasting thanks to fonefan! Pours pitch black with a small fizzy brown head. Aroma is huge on coconut, dark chocolate, vanilla, toffee, roast. Taste is roasty, lots of coconut, fudge, vanilla, coconut, butterscotch, light bitter, roasty.

Solid powerful evening sipper this one. Good complexity and a quite balanced and fine sweetness. Thick oily stuff. Coconut, chocolate, some spices, vanilla and espresso in the flavor. [Bottle shared with Werkmeister] Brewery #2027

(On tap @ Mikkeller Viktoriagade, May 10/18) Pours pitch black without any head. Notes of sweet dark chocolate, praline, smooth bourbon without spirit heat, moderate charred wood, vanilla, rich dark malt but rather limited sweetness, lots of fresh coconut, touch of ice cream, moderately sweet, low bitterness but subtle alcoholic drydown. Creamy smooth body with almost no carb. Wow, this is phenomenal stuff! Flavourful and wonderfully balanced, perfectly judged amount of spirit and malt, feels great in the mouth. Way too easy to drink.
