The 3rd Beavertown and Wild Beer Co collaboration, this year it’s a study of Blueberry. We have made a base beer with spelt and buckwheat and infused with bay leaves to give some gentle spice, fermented with Wild Beer Co’s own strain of wild yeast and after fermentation we then added more than a tonne of blueberries.

0.75l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. Looks a little bit like murky dishwasher water blended with blueberries. A small filmy grey pink filmy and sidesticking head on the top. Like the spiced up aroma. Loaded with bayleafs and allspice this. Smells almost Christmassy and kebabish with Heather. Lots of nice and interesting things here's. Like it. It has a mild oily texture in the mouth and it's just about average on the carbonation. So it blueberries in the taste. Almost a little raspberry hint. Bayleafs again and that works well with the sourness. Mild soapy and spicy finish. All in all I kinda liked it - mildly. 12.04.2017

Bottle courtesy of Geraint (and shared with Geraint, cheers mate!) had this at Village Hall Music night Merton Saturday 30th July 2016 This pours reddy colour with a fast disappearing pink head. Fruity and tangy the blueberries making their presence felt, not hugely sour but it does make the mouth pucker and the finish is dry. Nice. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Bottle: Poured a reddish color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of Brett and funky notes with light raspberry notes. Taste is also a mix of Brett and funky notes with some tart notes with light blueberry notes also noticeable. Body is full with good carbonation. A lot funkier then I had expected but the flavours where well balanced.

Bottle shared by Kazator. Many thanks! Hazy bright red colour, small whitish head. Aroma cheesy, lacto, fruity. Taste does justice to expectations. It reveals the bayleaf as a culprit that turned the beer inside out, completely twisting it around. It is very complex, very balanced, very easily drinkable. Mix of light sourness, fruity berry presence, lacto, moderate bay leaf. I would like slightly less bayleaf, but otherwise excellent.
