Bottle from Tesco, Enniskillen [100915]
Dark caramel colour, clear, bubbly white head, not keen on the clear glass bottle
Aroma of caramel, some dark fruits, soft hedgerow twiggy hops, dab of whisky, quite boozy nose for abv
Taste of caramel, toffee, dab of fruit cake, raisin, bit boozy, some vanilla, whisky flavours seems a bit artificial to me, not complex
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, rather sweet. Finish of sweet caramel malts, bit of vanilla
Overall - Seems like whisky flavouring has been added, but it’s OK. Find it better than I&G.

Bottle from Tesco, Brighouse. Clear copper-brown with next to no head. Strong tasting and mostly sweet, the vanilla in here is evident in both its aroma and taste. A fine winter warmer with strength.

Bottle split at LKS, thanks to the host with the most, 03/09/15. Golden copper with a moderately appointed off white covering. Nose is light honey, cereal, paper, crunchy nut cornflakes. Taste comprises light barrel tones, coconut, vanilla, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so overly sweet and rather bland.

Bottle share at Mr Smith’s Stratoflat. Thanks to Leighton for this one. Clear amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry. mild fine carbonation. Thin malts, fairly sweet. Mild vanilla and very mild paper. Sweet fruits leads to a light Cream Soda finish. Not too bad but Innis & Gunn do this corner of the market better.

Bottle shared in London - picked up from Kris Castle. Pours clear amber with a creamy tan head. The nose has creamy toffee, bread, some figs. Medium sweet flavor with simple bready malts, vanilla, toffee, berries. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Pretty basic sugary and bready finish, some cream soda, more toffee, creamy caramel, butterscotch. Simple but sweet and tasty.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours clear red-brown with a decent beige head. The nose is sweet, oily, sugary, preserved fruits, honey, cheap whisky, vanilla and and nougat. The taste is light, weak, toasty, earthy, brown bread, very sweet, fake vanilla, nougat and cream soda with a short, sweet finish. Light body and fine carbonation. A bit light and sweet.
