We put the Calvados in a large barrel and add American roasted and toasted oak flakes. After 3 weeks this mixture is ready to be added to the beer in the bright beer tank. This way we obtain a maximum performance of the used liquor strengthened with the taste of the used oak flakes to enrich our beer.

[Thank you for sharing!][750 ml. bottle sampled @ O.B.E.R. Kerstbierfestival 2016] Hazy orange, creamy tanned head. Nose is sweet & extremely big on soap, washing products, vegetables. Taste is fizzy thin soap, grainy, chemical, vegetables, overly big on sugar. Body is thin chemical, paint. This is a waste of Calvados.

Bottle sampled at Essen Christmas Beer Festival ’16. Near clear golden with an off white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, light veggies, light fruits and yeast. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

22/XI/16 - 75cl bottle @ HoReCa Expo (Gent) - BB: n/a (2016-1347) Thanks to kraddel and Erwin for sharing today's beers!
Clear orange beer, creamy solid yellow head, very stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, some banana, sweet notes. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bitter start, bit malty, grains, banana, bit metallic, soft bitterness, some calvados indeed. Aftertaste: little metallic, fruity notes, bit sweet, banana peel, malts, some caramel, tannins.
