A dark brown, top-fermented ale yeast, hopped and mixed with a special type of mild malt gives this richly coloured ale a unique, surprisingly smooth and mild taste. Contains distinctive chocolate and caramel notes. The draught version is a smooth and creamy version and is also available in cans, possible through an inbuilt widget technology that releases just the right amount of nitrogen to create the perfect surge and distinct smooth and creamy finish, which has previously only been available on draught in selected outlets across the island.

Sample courtesy of minutemat, cheers Mat! Bright golden amber colour, thin white rim and aroma of malt, toffee, caramel. Taste is sweetish, malty, caramel, tangy with some metallic bitterness. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry bitter finish. OK

Słodowe z wyraźną goryczką ziołową, mocno paloną. Gładkie dzięki nitro, piękna piana, złote, przezroczyste. Dobrze wchodzi na słońcu.

330ml bottle @ blackhaddock's beer cave. Clear golden amber pour, good slightly off-white head. Standard trad golden ale, firm bitterness. Unexciting but fine.

9th March 2022. Mini-tasting with minutemat at my place. Cheers Mat for this 330ml bottle (minus a Panda for Grumbo). Clean golden pour, red hue, lasting white head. Malty front to this one, some light hop action for balance. Had the 3.3% old version many years ago, didn't realise they'd changed the beer but kept the name!

Nitro can at the hotel pool. Dark amber beer, creamy head. Aroma is malt, hops, citrus, lemon. Taste is the same, bitter, hops, lemon, creamy smooth, quite nice

Light amber colour, beautiful frothy head that stays long. Aroma is biscuit, some citrus hops. Light bitterness. Creamy texture. Good in hot days.
