Rhubarb sour IPA.
En dag fick Tempel fint främmande ända från Umeås mörkaste hörn. Bryggverket kom förbi och tillsammans bryggde vi SURPÉNE, en sur IPA med rabarber. Ölen är mycket fruktig med tydliga men inte dominanta rabarbertoner, relativt kraftig syra och en balanserande sötma.

Draught @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours hazy yellow with with a white head. Aroma of little malt, grass, sour fruit, rhubarb, bitter citrus. Flavor is light sour, light bitter, malt, fruity hops, tart fruit, rhubarb, citrus. Medium body, average carbonation, light sour fruity finish. 141017

Tap @ Fermentoren Aarhus, 5.7%. Hazy golden with small white head. Aroma is malt, lemon, wood and sour. Flavour is malt, lemon, wood, sour, citric, little mint, fruit peel, little sweet, little dry and notes of rhubarb.

From tap at Steampunk bar, Goteborg. Light hazy yellow color with white head. Malty, hoppy and yeasty aroma, herbal spicy, tart citrusy fruity. Light sweet and moderate acidic taste like aroma. Light to medium oily body with soft carbonation.

From tap. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, slight citric. Sour, citric and slight wooden. Bretty, dry and sour. Simple. Rhubarb from back of the nose. Dry, citric and dry finish.

Tap at Akkurat. Pours slightly cloudy amber. Aroma is funky Brett, low citric hops, lemon Body is medium, quite sour and acidic, but there is a stronger malt body than in a usual sour/wild of this ABV. A bit lactic. Lively carbonation. Sour palate. Good.

330 ml. bottle sampled @ LIBF 2017. Thank you for sharing RB-InBev Belgian crew! Pale citrus, golden, clear. Nose is lacto, sauerkraut bacteria, lacto, bit basic profile, touch empty,,... Taste is fizzy lemonade, sauerkraut bacteria, lacto, similar sour profile to other Tempel beer, basic,... Decent sour profile, tad empty, not really getting rhubarb.

Bottle sample @ LIBF’17, thanks to the RB-InBev Belgian crew for the share. Dorée, claire, col fin blanc. Arôme aux notes houblonnées rappelant les agrumes; pamplemousse, raisins blancs. Palais garde une base maltée plaisant axée sur le pils et pâle, le tout sur une petite touche agrumes, pamplemousse, orange sanguine avec un rappel de mojito et menthe sans vraiment trop revendiquer son côté aigrelet que je trouve léger sans être surfait.

Clear pale blond beer, no head. Aroma: funky, cheesy, dank hops, sweaty feet. MF: lively carbon, light body. Taste: sourish start, very fruity, lots of mango, pineapple, some passion fruits, citrus notes, bubble gum. Aftertaste: very fruity, pineapple juice, lots of kiwi.
