(On tap @ MBCC 2017 Yellow Session) Inky black pour. Notes of big dark chocolate, molasses, toffee, soy sauce, coffee, moderate roast, bourbon and wood are intermediate in strength, syrupy, quite sweet, some balance is provided by intermediate to high levels of smoky, lightly spicy chilies, some warming alcohol, intense flavours but somewhat less cloying than some DL variants are. Peppery heat rides into the aftertaste, touches of whiskey in there too. Thick syrupy body. Tasty though I think it would be hard to drink in volume.

BIG THANKS TO SANNE! Sampled draft @ The Beavertown Extravaganza 2017. Day 2. Black. Smell is modern Dark Lord pure molasses soy sauce so thick but bourbon layered on top, unholy thick. Taste is very thick molasses, soy sauce syrup, chocolate syrup, pure syrup in a good way, quite boozy strong, bourbon almost drowns in it but the finish is the chili & the chili is surprisingly strong and heavy on the burn, really cuts through the beer and it works. Lovely hot. Pure molasses with a dash soy sauce syrup body. Ridiculous adore it.

Super heavy, barrel sugar, soy sauce, but not soo much, chili, molten chocolate, muscavedo sugar. Taste is intense muscavedo sugar, chocolate, soy sauce, super nice chili bite, slightly. Incredible beer, and *so* much better than the regular Dark Lord I've had just last week.

Keg at BE. It pours deep brown with a small tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet, sticky, oily, chocolate cake, brownie, sugary, coffee, toffee, vanilla, fudge and light spice. The taste is smooth, rich roasted malt, sweet, oily, wanting chilli spice, chocolate brownie, oak, vanilla, chewy malt, warming alcohol, earthy, toasty, black tea and tannin with a drying finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Rather enjoyable stuff. Good fun.
