With their latest brew, Pilot used ingredients including jaggery sugar and fenugreek, putting the India back into IPA and making an educated nod to the history of this style.
The aroma is warm spice and tropical fruit, and these carry through to the taste, which is surprisingly sweet, delicate and welcoming, with washes of passion fruit, liquorice and toffee, before suddenly moving to a medium dry bitterness that lasts and lasts.

Hazy, amber-orange colored, small white head. Malty caramel, some toffee, biscuit, moderate fruity and floral hops, doesn't feel the freshest, some bready notes, grassy, medium bitterness, dryish finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily.

Hazy amber beer, off white head. Smells of tropical fruit and hops. Flavour follows suit but with something a little earthier in there too that I can't quite place but it's interesting. Crisp and tasty. I like this a lot.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Ariel. Hazy deep golden. Aroma of fruity hops, slightly stale. Flavor has some sweetish malt, slightly stale hops, and lingering bitterness. Medium-bodied. A bit heavy and alcoholic.

660ml bottle from Alesela. Orangey gold amber colour, white foam head and hoppy woody pine aroma. Taste is malt caramel with orangey citrus, pine and earthy bitterness. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable DIPA.

Bottle split at CBC Clerko, thanks to Niall and LKS, 06/01/15. Hazed orange amber with a decent off white head that retains well. Nose is juicy citrics, fresh grass, pine, apricot, mango, light booze notes. Taste comprises mandarin, citric sherbets, light mineral notes, straw, orange pith, hint of grapefruit. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Respectable enough DIPA.

Tasting at Craft Clerkenwell. Thanks to Niall. Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and a little dry and fairly crisp. Light malts bring a little cream. Hops are medium skunky with lesser pine and a fair dose of hop spice. Floral bitterness kicks in as does an undertone of mild tropical fruits. Light semi dry finish with a mild hop spice linger. Good stuff.

Bottle shared at craft clerko. Many thanks to Leighton / Niall. . Aroma is lovely, pungent, tropical fruit, lemon, mango, some straw. Clouded orange coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Flavour is earthy straw, wheat grain tannin, nice tropical fruit, mango, palate is medium full, little sticky, grain dry tannin. Lingering harsh earthy grains.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Niall! Pours hazy, rich gold with a creamy, off-white head. Pleasant citrus aroma with nice pithy notes, some minerals, straw. Light-medium sweet flavor with lightly grainy, bready pale malts, some pine, orange, other rindy citrus. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Resinous finish with some grainy pale malts, tangerine, minerals, pine. Tasty IPA.
