27.09.2014, tap sample @ Borefts:
Small slightly bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet fruity, dried fruits, leafs, sap, hops, bark, moss, soil, pine needles, lawn. Taste is dry grassy, old leafs, bark, sap, harsh hops, wood, soil, pine needles, lawn. Longlasting bitterness, dry harsh mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea.

0.75 litre bottle: cheers Simon for bringing this to the August 2015 Shrewsbury Bottle Exchange meeting, split between five. Creamy head on top of a misty reddy brown body. Aroma of roasted caramel and other malty molasses, yet not overly sweet in nature, some mild smokiness also in the nose. Mixed bag of berries in the flavour, like the smell, malty also with a smoky hint. Yeasty notes blend in mid-sip and the finish leans towards a bitter dryness. Different and interesting.

On tap @ Borefts 2014. This is a thick blurry amber brown one with a nice little lacing off-white head. Nice sweet red fruity nose. There's a mild stickiness to the aroma, amber and caramel malts, some grassiness and traces of yeast. Nice. Quite strong on the flavors. Lots of red fruits and it's really well hopped. Thick and oily in the mouth and it had a mild prickling carbonation. Really fresh flavors, it's drying my mouth a bit in the finish, but not disturbingly. Something I could drink again. 27.09.2014

Murky dark brown - amber beer, big fluffy cream colour head. Palate is airy and dry, fine carbonation. Airy malts, little dry cream. Trace of toffee. Well integrated marmalade. Mild minerals. Hop spice. Trace of lemon and a little sherbet. Finishes dry and crisp. Tangy orange linger. Nice.
