375ml bottle. Pours clear amber with good white head. Aroma is brett & sugar. Taste is bristly brett, nice and crisp with the most subtle of white wine influence, and slick alcohol on the finish.

Bottle from Beer Gonzo, consumed at home/village hall function, Saturday 27th June 2015 Barrel ageing works really well, it’s probably more subtle than some but still leaves it’s thumbprint. Some woody and tart flavours and a streaky yeastiness, but it’s warming, fruity and a little earthy with a grapey edge. Good. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov14 3.6

Dobre smaczne tresciwe Saison. Koloru piwo jest bursztynowego z niewielka metnoscia. Winny aromat sie wyczuwa ale w smaku jakos juz nie bardzo. Piana srednia ale za to trwala. Slodowe zbozowe i chlebowe w smaku. Alkohol nieco wyczuwalem w nim ale specjalnie nie pszeszkadzal i nie byl dominujacy. Glowna rola byla slodowosc. Chmielne i wytrawne wrazenia stanowily jakby tlo. Ciekawa jak to w prawie kazdym przypadku etykieta artystyczna

Bottle bought @ bierkompass.de. Pours tiny hazy amber with a big frothy offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of thick sticky lacing on the glass. Smell is fruity and tiny funky with biscuits, leather, heavy chardonnay wine, moist wood, barnyard, hay, dry soil, overripe lemons, plums, white raisins, lemon zest and hints of rubber. Taste is slightly sweet, slightly bitter, phenolic and funky with biscuits, sweet dark bread, white raisins, leather, hay, chardonnay wine, moist wood, kumquats, rubber, apple skins, pear skins, orange zest, lemon zest, barnyard and alcohol. Mouthfeel is tiny dry, tiny tart, tannic astringent, tiny boozy and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sour, slightly bitter, phenolic and tiny funky with biscuits, dark bread, raisins, plums, hay, dry soil, barnyard, leather, rubber, alcohol, orange zest and lemon zest. Barleywine-esque biscuit raisin saison... Not what I was hoping for...

On tap at Henriks. It’s a lightly hazy one, golden in color and with a dense, finger thick light beige head leaving curtains. Lots of oak and grapefruit on the nose, mango and some white sugar. Bitter and dry on the palate, with a decent carbonation. Vinous and citrusy flavor with lots of grapefruit. Bitter finish with grapefruit zest and some pineapple. Quite nice this one, but sort of weird. Can’t really decide if I like it. 140615
