dark brown/ruby pour, very small off white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, brown sugar, candi sugar, and ripe fruits such as figs, and pears. THe flavor was well balanced, and very very nice. More of that wonderful sweet malts in the finish, trailed by a semi dry bitterness. Excellent dubbel!

Bottled on Oct. 31, 2014, but with the alcohol content, you would think this would be still good. Looks infected to me. Feel a bit of sourness in the nose and mouth. Deep amber colour with a fizzy beige head that does not stay long and no lace is seen. Yeasty aromas giving notes of bananas. Hints of plums, caramel, spices (cloves) and some light roasted malts. Sour-sweet flavours, but watery overall. Yeast is there, not much else. Really not a fan of this one. Not representing the style very well.

A hazed dark brown amber ale with a thick frothy lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light fruity notes, plums, alcohol warmth, candy sugar, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with fruity notes, light roasted coffee, dark fruits, molasses, candy sugar, nice, but nothing special.

Depanneur Peluso, Montreal 50cl ($5): Pours mostly clear brown with a beige head. Aroma is dark fruit, sugar, and a healthy dosing of yeast. Taste is not very complex or large. Fortunately this is no too sweet. Strange slightly sour taste in there. I think the aroma is fine, but the taste could have used some work.

Strong taste of maple honey here. Syrupy texture. Pours maroon without head or lacing. Light carbonation, sweet finish. A little messy. Booze quite prominent. Bottle from Delires du Terroir.

Bottle: Poured a light amber color ale with a large foamy head with medium retention and some light lacing. Aroma of honey and residual sugar is not as dominant as I would have expected and there is a lack of ester that I would have expected in this beer. Taste is also dominated by light caramelized malt with clear notes of honey and light residual sugar with cereal notes also apparent. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Definitely sub-par compare to other offering form this brewery and this confirms that I prefer dubbel with candi sugar and more dominant esters.

Bouteille 500ml.
