A rich dark winter ale brewed with English Malts and hops for lots of fruity festive flavour. The rich fruitiness of this beer goes beautifully with cold meats or strong English cheeses like a traditional Cheddar.

500ml bottle from a M&S store at Euston Station. Shared with Magne. Deep dark brown body with a ruby shade. beige head leaving dotted spots on the glass. Moderate aromas of dark grain, hints of spices. Mixed taste of dark fruits and caramel malts, a note of cinnamon to it. Mid-sweet malt-fruity ending. Quite alright. (Hotel room, Greater London 07.11.2022).

Deep chestnut brown, with a frothy off-white head, and a subtle dark fruit malt aroma. The mouthfeel is decently full, there’s a hint of spice on top of the dark fruits and slightly roasted malt flavour, and a slight bitterness in the finish

500ml bottle from M&S. Poured a clear medium brown colour with a fizzy off white head. The aroma is sweet malt, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet, with a crisp, sweet malt, light Christmas spice, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle from M&S, thanks to/shared at folks in London - amber pour with white head. Toasted and sweet malty, slight roasted, some caramel, toffee, light to medium body, twiggy and herbal hoppy with a bitter finish.

A tasty dark ale with plenty of malt, some fruit and a very nice mouth feel. It’s not what you would call "Christmassy" but it is a solid dark bitter with good flavour and a low abv.

500ml Bottle from M&S Crystal Peaks - Clear deep ruby body, with a thin beige head. Nose is raisin, cake fruits, plums, and winter spice. Taste has an earthy backdrop, with the fruits in the aroma coming through with a dry finish. Decent enough.
