Hazy orange with a tall white head, Smells of lemon juice, spices, grapes and Belgian yeast. Bitter-sweet and sharp around the edges, with notes of herbal hops, yeast and just a bit of honey. Not bad, but it feels more like a Belgian pale ale than a Saison.

Drikkbar, men slett ingen saison. Ikke så forfriskende at det gjør noe.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from Beermerchants (I think). Pours clear, rich orange-gold with a frothy, off-white head. The aroma holds lightly toasted grains, some phenols, orange peel, bread. Medium sweet flavour with prominent bitter grain husk, mild earthy bitterness, grass, toasted biscuits, citrus rind. Medium bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Finishes with more grainy malts, bitter grass and husky grains, mild alcohol, dried berries, leather, bitter citrus peel. So so overall.

0.33 l bottle from Gall&Gall Zutphen, best before February 2017. Clear, medium amber with a medium large, dense, slowly diminishing, tan head. Malty, fruity-spicy aroma of ginger, caramel, apricot jam and hints of raisins. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity taste of honey, caramel, apricot jam and hints of ginger, followed by a short, slightly bitter finish. Medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty stuff, not too complex or intense though. But a Saison?!
