The Yeastie Boys!!! you’re damn right we were exited when (over a drunken night) they agreed to come and throw in a collaboration with us!!
Drawing sweetness from a complex malt base but turning 360 with a vibrant mix of New Zealand & UK hops (with a handful of our favorite American hops in for good measure). A brown to both please and astound in body and flavour.

Thanks to my Secret Santa: minutemat
33cl bottle
Brown color, white head with good retention, some lacing. Aroma is light toasted malts and caramel, slightly hoppy. Flavor is slightly sweet at the beginning, some caramelish hints. Slightly bitterness in the final.

2nd Nov 2017; 330ml can in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Autumnal brown body, beige topping. A Brown Ale with a difference, semi-sweet with some red beery like aromas and flavours, woody notes too. Nice easy drinking brew, liked it.

Many thanks to Minutemat. Great floral brown nose. The beer starts floral with malty aroma. Smooth, dry with nice brown malty sugars. Very dry, smooth and mild floral and moderate bitter.

Can shared with Erzengel! A clear reddish brown beer with a mid-sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of intense hoppy fruits, red malt, spruce. Taste of resinous hops, spruce, pine, red malt, nice!

Can. Arcade Beers, Huddersfield. Very hazy, reddy brown. Thin, messy, clingy, pale beige head. Nose has minty toffee. Some berry fruits. Some treacle. Some woody hop. Taste is fairly sweet, with a fruity, earthy bitterness. Medium body. Soft and quite juicy. Some earthy and fruity bitterness in the close. Decent.

Cask @ The Magnet, Stockport [040417]
Caramel brown, clear, dense beige head, good appearance
Aroma of soft citrus, no caramel which is surprising
Taste of apple, orange, soft tangy fruits, hint of raspberry, but there’s that apple orangey taste going on
Palate - Medium body, bit soapy, quite sweet. FInish is quite dry, light bitter, slight roasted malt afers
Overall - Found this a bit weird, little caramel in aroma and flavour even though it’s a brown ale?

330ml Can - Dark brown with a foamy head. Cocoa, chestnuts and hints of dried fruit in the aroma. Malty, nutty and fruity taste with chestnuts, blackcurrant and chocolate detected alongside some slightly earthy notes.

330ml can @ Chez Sophie. Pours a hazy brown, large pale tan head. Aroma is softly sweet malts. Taste is fairly light and dry, bears a curious sweetness nestled amongst those caramelised malts, perhaps a few red berries. It’s interesting, but lacks a little clarity of flavour.

Can from Utobeer. Floral and caramel, if not particularly strong. A muddy opaque brown. A few mm of frothy off-white head. Malty biscuit base with salted caramel quake topping*. Hops also. Light bodied. Somewhat watery but the carbonation gives softness. Dry but relatively abrupt finish. Decent beer. *Lie, it’s not a cheesecake.
