Amber Honey Ale

Made from a blend of malted grains that give it a light biscuit flavour, combined with a subtle sweetness of honey. A light citrus twist at the end from “new world” hops, finish this refreshing beer.

Bottle at the Winking Owl, Aviemore. Appearance - cloudy amber. Decent head. Nose - honey, light lemon. Brown bread at the back. Taste - more citrus, bread and honey, of course. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - good.

Cask up the white lady. Pours clear golden amber with a thick white head. Aromas of butterscotch, faint honey. Taste is sweet, biscuits, honey faint again, thankfully. Sweet finish. Could’ve been worse.

Cask at The George, Croydon. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The nose is floral, hay, biscuit and soft honey. The taste is bitter-sweet, earthy, floral, biscuit, pithy citrus and light bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Not much honey really... just a hint perhaps. Not bad.

Hamilton Hall Spoons. 50th and final beer of the Spring 13 fest! Almost clear amber beer, good white head. Palate is smooth and a little soft with fine carbonation. Mild creamy malt. Decent but mellow citrus, mostly orange. Touch of pith and peel as it finishes semi dry. Not getting any honey! Decent.

Deeper looking golden ale with a thin head. It has a malty character with a pleasant body that includes a mild hoppiness that makes the aroma slightly sweet. It has some biscuit character.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Golden amber with a thin white head; sweet, fruity, aroma; chewy malt body with a light touch of honey, that’s not over sweet, and a pleasant citrus giving a clean dry finish.
