Burnt Sienna uses the new and exciting propino barley malt and cara malts for stronger colour and outstanding depth of flavour. for a citrus bitterness and balanced spicy overtones, we use a hop that is so new, it hasn’t got a name yet, it goes by the breeding code of p08–6. Three additions of this hop are used during the brewing process to give wonderful aroma and body.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading] Amber with a thin white head and a light fizz. Toffee and caramel up front, with hints of lemon following through. The flavours are on the light side, but it’s pleasant enough.

Hamilton Hall Spoons. Bright clear gold beer. Small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and dry. Thin creamy malt. The P08-6 hops are interesting - aniseed flavour like Aramis but nowhere near as bitter. Also has a little juicy citrus. Dry finish with a medium bitter linger. Not bad.
