[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading] Amber with a thin white head and a light fizz. Toffee and caramel up front, with hints of lemon following through. The flavours are on the light side, but it’s pleasant enough.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Golden amber with a loose white head; light floral aroma; some dry biscuity malts, with a touch of caramel and a citrusy bitterness; then a sustained dry finish with a trace of spice. Very pleasant and easy drinking.

Hamilton Hall Spoons. Bright clear gold beer. Small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and dry. Thin creamy malt. The P08-6 hops are interesting - aniseed flavour like Aramis but nowhere near as bitter. Also has a little juicy citrus. Dry finish with a medium bitter linger. Not bad.

A high malt and high bitterness ale which is golden without a head. It has some spiciness in its body.
