A golden-straw coloured wheat-style beer. Clean and crisp with a light bitterness and soft velvety texture, this brew was created with aptly named ’Sonnet’ hops to give a sweet, delicate, floral aroma.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Clear blonde, as you might expect. Barely a head. Fruity malts. Hint of hop. Hint of lemon. Taste is light sweet. Thin palate. Finishes light sweet. Ordinary, to be honest.

Hand-pulled pint in The Pheasant, Wellington Shropshire on 27th Nov 2014. Poured a clear light golden colour with a full and lasting white topping of smooth foam. Floral and semi-sweet in nature and aroma, easy to drink and in great condition. Liked the fact it wasn’t citrusy.

Cask at the Clapton Hart, 21/09/13. Clear pale golden with a thin white head. Nose is pale malts, grass, citrus. Taste comprises toasted malts, light citrus tang, orange. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, a modicum of grassy bitterness in the finish. Whelming GB affair, drinkable but doesn’t stand out from it’s many 6-3-6-3-12 bro’s !

330ml bottle from the Crafty Pint, Darlington market. Pours a clear golden amber colour with a thin white head that dissipates and a floral, fruity & wheaty aroma. Taste is light malt & grain with a slightly fruity bitterness that lingers. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish. OK.
