Cask at the Victoria Station Spoons - London. Pours clear amber-brown with a frothy off-white head. Lots of toasted grain in the nose, some earth, cocoa. Light-medium sweet flavor with burnt grass, lightly hitter chocolate, moderate roast, rindy dry citrus, some oily pine. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation; good condition. Lightly resinous on the finish with more piney oils, scorched earth, orange, cocoa, mild dry floral notes. Pretty OK actually.

Playhouse Spoons. Cask. Clear deep amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Very mellow dark malts, tangy and mildly sweet. A little candy fruits in the mid. Mild and tangy dark orange. Touches of floral bitterness and pine. Finishes semi dry. Quite a sweetish Schwarz but decent.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Deep chestnut with a loose cream head; fruity aroma; rather thin in the mouth; nutty and dry with underlying caramel; and a dry, oaty finish. I didn’t get the "beer in a beer" thing at all.

Cask handpull Hamilton Hall Spoons. Clear very dark brown colour lasting beige head. Chocolate and faint chemical aroma. Not a great aroma. Better in mouth but not keen and I left about a third of a half. Smells of new shoes but not in a good way
