This golden ale is brewed in the style of an American IPA, with a grapefruit hop aroma followed by a full, zesty flavour which continues to the bitter finish.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Hazy amber with a loose white head; grapefruit aroma; sweet grapefruit taste; with a refreshing dry bitter finish. A safe lacklustre interpretation of the style.

Cask at Tanners Hall JDW Darlington. Clear golden colour, foam white head and citrusy hoppy aroma. Taste is pale malt, caramel, with tropical fruit notes and citrus hop bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Cask at the crosse keys. Light yellow golden coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is nice lemonhop , some juicy fruit. Flavour is bad homebrew, worty sweet and veg stew hops. Some spicy hop, but still pretty faded and stale. Disappointing.

Cask @ Paramount, Manchester. Clear golden with a smooth head and beautifully smooth texture. The light citrus fruits and character is very pleasant.

Crosse Keys Spoons. Cask. Hazy gold beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth with fine carbonation. Light creamy malt, semi dry. Peachy orange hops with a nice tropical fruit underneath. Finishes light and semi dry and a mild bitter linger. Nice job.

Cask at the Victoria Station Spoons - London. Pours clear, bright gold with a creamy, white head. Decent citrusy hops in the nose, mango, tangerine. Light-medium sweet flavor with pale bread, oily pine needles, orange, faint grapefruit and straw. Light bodied with fine carbonation; OK condition. Lightly resinous to finish with touches of dankity dank, ripe orange, pine needles, nips of bitter citrus rind. Not at all bad.
