Bottle @Luppolo Station (Rome). Dorata, abbastanza limpida, schiuma bianca media, discretamente persistente.

Bottle at Kiselo druženje (Sour gettogether), MBR, Zagreb. Cloudy golden, moderate to a lasting off-white creamy head. Very yeasty, funky, hard cheese, dusty, doughy, estery. Moderately sour at first, balances out with estery fruity notes. Medium body, moderate finish.

375 ml bottle, bb 14/02/2037, bottled 20 years before. Opens with a loud pop.
Golden, slightly hazy body, with a big, frothy, off-white head.
Aroma is surprisingly grainy at first, musty, basement, straw, wood, grapes, citrus, green apples, slight cheese.
Tastes quite similar, with more vinous notes, some stone fruits.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate cabonation.
Finishes very smooth, medium dry, medium wooden, a bit vinous, musty, fruity, a bit citric, with moderate grapes.
Very smooth stuff, with the wine barrel leading to a moderate, elegant layer. Not too funky, with the focus on balance, which is reall outstanding, while also with a great complexity underneath. Beautiful, extremely well drinkable Geuze.
Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 5 / 17

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s earlier this year. Orange appearance with a white head. Tons of dust, oak, Parmesan cheese, lemon citrus, and barnyard funk. Moderately tart. All kinds of complexity with just a hint of grapes and apples. Refreshing though I think it could use even a bit more carbonation. Real fucken solid brew.
