Bag in a box at the Caley Picture House. Pours still hazy yellow gold. Nice fresh apple aromas. Taste is dry, almost funky, slightly rotten apple. Bit odd.

BIAB at Tanners Hall Darlington JDW cider fest 2017. Hazy yellow gold colour, no head and aroma of musty apple. Taste is fruity apple, juicy, bittersweet with some tartness and tannins. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

Box @ JDW Montgomery’s Tower. Pours cloudy yellow, aroma of fresh apple orchard. Taste presents an excellent fleshy apple fruit character with a vanilla sweetness and some rhubarb and custard notes. Surprised this is Aspalls. Very good.

Cask @ Bull & Gate, Kentish Town, London. Hazy mid to pale yellow. Initially crisp with its apple, it has a late and lingering dryness, but maintains a sweetness of the fruit throughout.

Draught at the Sun Inn, Waterbeach. Cloudy golden yellow. Still and flat. Mild aroma of apple, light and not particularly engaging. Taste has a sweet sourness to it and a defined apple ’bite’. Long drying finish. Pretty standard cider but better than average.
