Bottle from Beers of Europe, online. Clear gold, still. Aroma of overripe apples and pears, light caramel, some funk. Taste is the same but quite subtle and filtered to the extent of being a little bit cardboard like. Medium bodied smooth. Very average.

Bag-in-a-box at the Rose & Crown, Wycombe. Bronzey-gold, still. Sweetish. Nail varnish remover in the whiff. On tasting there's sweet pear juice, a little vinegar, a touch of tannic apple. Not unpleasant; too sweet by the end though.

Many thanks for this mixed cider to jacek Wigier (wineofdreams@gmail.com).

500ml bottle. Golden amber colour with no head and a very slight fruity aroma. Taste is sweet, mellow, juicy apple & pear, with a sulphite note. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, some dryness and residual sweetness at the finish. OK.

Box @ Calans, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a thin bubbly head. Has a good apple flavour with a fairly dry texture. There’s a good aroma too.
