Blackcurrant builds but is not sweet, followed by a little tartness, it then ends with blackcurrant picked straight from the bush. Beautifully balanced.

Bottle from Connolly's Wine Merchants, online. Pours a clear purple with some froth on top. Blackcurrant and dessert apple aroma, not too sweet. Taste is Ribena with a dry apple, fruity and tangy with dry finish. Medium sweet throughout so not sugar fuelled alcopop territory. Its cider with fruit juice added so maybe not a connoisseur drink but when its this tasty I cannot but score high.

Bag in a box from the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate. Alarming purple and clear with no head. Light tangy aroma with notes of blackcurrant. More blackcurrant in the sweet tangy taste but it doesn't overwhelm. So with the character of the fruit without becoming alcoholic Ribena. It's a nice fruit cider.

Bottle: Poured a ruby red with a pinkish white head. Aroma is berry, black currant, apples, musty. Taste is sweet, berry, black currant, apple, juicy.

500 ml bottle, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 3.7%. Beautiful and clear deep red colour, pours moderately sparkling with a short-lived off-white to pink head. Aroma of cider apples, blackcurrants, oak and sulphites. Medium sweet flavour, notes of eating apples and blackcurrants.

Bottle shared with JMD on board Fridtjofen 28.07.18. Dark ruby. Not much head. Fine aroma and taste of refreshing cider and blackcurrants. Very quaffable! An alcopop for the connoiseurs.

0,5 flaske fra Gulating Stavanger, delt med skibsrederen under dagens båtpuss: klar dyprød rav med kort bruseskum. Fin solbæraroma, og solbærene utfyller smaken av ciderepler på en behagelig måte. En deilig sommerforfriskning. Drikker gjerne denne igjen.

500ml bottle from Crafty Nectar. Deep red colour, pink foam head that dissipates away and juicy blackcurrant aroma. Taste is sweet, blackcurrant and green apple, juicy with some tartness. Medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, tart and fruity finish. OK.
