75cl Fles, dank Kermis! Medium body. Verrassend lekker.

Pours black, medium large off white head fades fairly fast. Scent is ... weird. Soy, coffee (green), bit roasty, oyster, oak, herbal rot, not the most inviting. Taste is sharply tart, much more than anticipated. A roasty backbone, where some bitterness is present. Coffee is fairly mild, barrel rather hidden. The acidity seems surprisingly straight, as I expected a custom labeled, infected stout, this one almost seems to clinically sour to be infection. I'm not a fan of the genre at all, but it's not as off-putting as expected. It has some oud bruin elements to it, even. Not the drainpour I feared it would be. Medium body, medium high carbo - enhancing the puckering acidity. In a way, I can even call this fairly balanced. Expectations are smashed, that's for sure.

33cl bottle at Belgian Beergeeks/Brewver summer tasting at Tim's house. Thanks Siegfried. BB 08/2029.

10/IX/22 - 75cl bottle @ Belgian Beer Geek Gathering (Gent), BB: VIII/2029 (2022-1131) Thanks to Bierridder_S for sharing the bottle!
Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: funky, very roasted, chocolate notes, dusty. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, acidic, bit lemony, caramel, fruity, funky, roasted, bitter, ok. Aftertaste: more acidic, lots of alcohol, bitter touch, ok, not my preferred taste.

Black color and a small tan head. Nose is slightly fruity, dark coffee, some cocoa. Taste follows the nose, coffee flavors dominate, tart souerness following. Some sprices.

Bottle split at L6, thanks to the man of the moment, 'Farewell New Ken' tasting 18/09/19. Light black with a decent tan cap. Nose is tangy fruits, coffee grinds, light spice, cocoa sprinkle, dates. Taste comprises cold press copy, fruit cake, prunes, light black peppery spice, charr, dusty fruits.. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok impy … carries a good tang whilst drinking fairly easy.
