Draught (6%) Brasserie 4:20. Aroma has sour grapefruit and earthy tones. Also citrus. Feels like Cantillon. Flavour is really acidic with white wine, lactic tones and grapefruit. Flat palate, no CO2. Finishes milky. Aggressive enough but too much lactic tones here.

THANKS! to Mathieu87 & PriorL. Hazy golden. Nose is sweet wood, lots of it, horse blanket, wine & faint walnuts / oxidation. Flat & bit watery but otherwise excellent. Oak, nuts, Sauternes, vinous, lots of oak, dry, light vanilla, bitter hay in the back. Barnyard. Light sourness. Pretty rich & interesting. Good stuff.

No head, ochre-golden beer. Very grapey, even vinous nose, old wine, old barrels, barnyard, horseblanket, bit nutty. Winey, vinous, even Sauternes-like! Absolutely stunning taste. Blossoms, honey, lactic acid, and balanced! Quite slick (certainly for a lambic), flat as a pancake. Very special bottling - normally on draught only, which would have been better for the carbonation, I’m told. The taste is divine.

Bla bla blend hand pump at Brasserie 4:20 7% a copper gold with a soapy head & a tart nose with wood bark accents kind of makes me think of pine cones... Silky mouthfeel with a medium body the taste is tart, woodsy , lemon cello sourness. Nice.

From tap at Brasserie 4:20, Rome. Light hazy golden orange color with small off white head. Funky citrusy aroma, dusty and barnyard, light malty. Taste is sweet and sour, citrusy fruity again. Medium oily body with flat to soft carbonation.

Handbottle with great thnx to Michelle ’The Beerhunter ’ . Shared with the crew of de Gollem - Antwerp. Pours rather unclear blonde, no real head . Smell is funky , remembers of Boon . Taste is Very funky , wattery at first, but than turns sour . The aftertaste is very malty , so malty i’m almost certain this is made with lambic of Girardin as well . Taste up front is wattery, than turns Boon , than Girardin . Indeed a Lambic blend ( not much sparkle ) . Nice, especially the aftertaste ( I love this aspect Girardin lambic gives ) If annyone knows the true blend of this I’d be happy to hear, but blindly , I’d say Boon + girardin .

At 4:20 pub in Rome on tap. Pours a medium dark orange with a consistent white bubbling head. Nose: sugar tartness (wow), pungent fresh sourness. Mouth is amazing: vinegar, tartness. Great! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Brasserrie 4:20, 09/02/14. Lightly hazed golden amber with a well appointed off white covering that stays for a while. Nose is horseblanket, dank, musty, soured berry fruit, grape skins, citric dipped straw, light smokey waft. Taste drops away a little from the nose, lemon rind, straw, grape skin, apple core, dank wood twang, touch of dry rot. Mediud bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid lambic.

18/12/2013 Brasserie 4:20 (handpump). Dorata carica con riflessi aranciati, leggermente torbida, schiuma leggerissima, virtualmente assente. Al naso sentori di lieviti, concime, cantina, esteri (banana), solvente. In bocca è acida decisa, aspra, citrica, legnosa e astringente, impegnativa. Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Non mi convince del tutto.
