One of the first stouts I ever had, before I ventured into the terrain of the British and American stouts. Nice beer, sweet, but still roasted and firm.

33 cl. draft @ Kulminator. Pours black but not the blackest black with a creamy lightly tanned head. Nose is sweet liquorish, sweet syrup, dark sugar, light sticky roast, dark fruits, burned toast. Taste is liquorish, roast, syrup, touch sticky, Sirop de Liège, touch molasses, burned toast and finish is quite vinous. Syrupy body but not too heavy. Different, not bad but far from the best stout that I have had.

33cl Bottle from De Hopduvel, Gent. Clear dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, alcohol, quite sweet and fruity, malts, molasses. Flavour is sweet, dark fruits, alcohol, hint of liquorice, light bitter alcoholic finish. Medium-bodied. Just a plain Belgain Strong Ale, has absolutely no stout characteristics. Disappointing.

Winiakowy aromat i posmak. Kolor rubinowo-brazowy. Wielka piana i długo sie trzyma nad pokalem.
