Coffee/vanilla porter. The guys at Devil’s Peak took a look at our Cafe Racer recipe, and decided to rev it up with a little African style.
Rammed with rich Kenyan espresso and Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar, this brew is as black as the ace of spades in the Devil’s Peak logo.

Bottle at Brewdog, Doghouse, Merchant City, Glasgow, Sunday 11th February 2018 in the company of Nick and Anna. Wow lots fresh coffee on the nose, soft mouthfeel. It's a lovely beer, really nice but tastes a little thinner than I was expecting. Lots of coffee, creamy chocolate and dark molasses, a hint of vanilla, like it. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

Bottle. Color: Black, fast disappearing light brown head. Taste: Roasted malt, espresso and an overwhelming taste of vanilla. The finish is somewhat more balanced fortunately, but that strong vanilla taste is staying for ever, it seems. Imperial Vanilla Racer...? Maybe nice as a dessert, but not when you’re expecting a beer. Not really my style.

0.33 l bottle shared with Višnja 666 and Pilot Goran during a tasting session in the summer of 2017. Thanks! Black, minimal head. Roasty, coffee, vanilla. Overwhelming vanilla flavour, alcohol, liqueur. Thick, medium body, sweet finish. Too much vanilla, otherwise good.
