We're delighted to have collaborated with Track on this black IPA with pecan wood smoked orange zest and coriander. Dry hopped with El Dorado and Amarillo.

Tiger Tail brings all of the roastiness of the dark malts and the juiciness of the hops that you would want from this style. For an extra layer of flavour, we smoked some orange zest to mingle with the fruity hop profile and the toasty malt backbone. The result is a Black IPA with a complex and fruity profile, a Black IPA reinvigorated for 2019.

Draft. A black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of smoke, oranges, hops, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of smoke, roasted malt, oranges, and nuts, leading to a dry smokey finish. A bit OTT for me.

Strong grapefruit, hop pellet dust, pineapple, pine, coffee, softly roasty, some smoke, iodine. Medium sweet start, a bit tangy, smoky, softly bitter. Developed some wild hop burn I didn't like at all. Too wild in combination with the carbonation.

440ml can. Pours almost black with an enormous tan head. Aroma is smokey, woody, pine, roast malts, zest. Taste of roast malts, pine, smoke, orange zest, coriander, woody, bitter finish. Medium body, chewy, moderate carbonation. Wasn't sure on this at first but it turned out to be really good, and well balanced too.

On tap at The Experiment, Hackney, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Smokey, malty, orange, spice aroma and taste. Not bad but seemed a little unbalanced to me.
