Hiding deeper behind that German disguise is the double dry-hopping of an American Double IPA, with nearly 4 lbs. of German and American hops per barrel. It brings tropical flavors of citrus, tangerine, mango, gooseberries and peach.
The artwork for The Perfect Disguise was brought to life and designed by 2019 Off-Centered Art Series artist Michael Hacker. The name ‘The Perfect Disguise’ was the inspiration for the illustration design as it’s a play on words with whether or not the beer is actually a Kölsch or an American IPA.

Hazy, light tan. Thin head. Earthy, maybe a bit cheesy, with a light orange marmalade note. Lightish body, for the style, and a nice orangey, slightly piney hop note. Mellow, fairly clean malts.

12 oz. bottle, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright piney hops, with a touch of citrus, and biscuity malt. Flavour is very bright, with piney hops upfront, a hint of citrus further back, and a fairly dry biscuity malt base. Really nice piney hop character dominating. Excellent.

Not sure where or when I obtained this bottle of Perfect Disguise but glad to have it. DIPA works for me, has a born-on date of 2/1/19. It goes into a tulip glass an orange-over-gold liquid and a spare, almost pure white head. Its scent is white pine, grass and honey. The taste is nice, stronger than the nose. Pineapple, cedar, meadow, heavy on the hops with a complementary sweetness. Very nice.
