Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham and shared in Bangkok. Poured a hazy golden orange colour, with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, stone fruits, light tropical citrus. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, balanced, light fruity, light dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Nicely rounded. Fruity and bitter but really smooth and nicely balanced. Very sessionable.

Bottle from the brewery in Bermondsey and drunk at home. Hazy gold colour lasting cream thick head. Decent pale ale. Interesting hop flavour. A little green hop flower. Some citrus zest and acid. Lovely condition in the mouth. Light bitterness which is ok and builds a little in the finish. Lemon, lime, light melon. I thought very drinkable indeed. Interesting Topaz beer.

Hazy gold beer, decent pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a light creamy sweetness. Piney hop intro. Tangy bitterness dominates bright citrus. Tangy bitterish citrus close leaves a bitter linger. Nice to see Topaz again after all this time. Probably considered an old school hop, but now’t wrong with that lad.
